Gestión estratégica de activos físicos ISO 55000: Casos de éxito en infraestructura territorial latinoamericana

Resumen
Este artículo evalúa la implementación de la norma ISO 55001 en organizaciones latinoamericanas que operan activos físicos de alto valor e impacto territorial. Mediante un estudio cualitativo de casos múltiples y un análisis documental sistemático de tres organizaciones certificadas (hidrocarburos midstream, servicios especializados y agua potable), se validó el rigor metodológico con un coeficiente Kappa de Cohen de 0,84. Los resultados documentan mejoras sustanciales: incremento de la disponibilidad de activos en 3,6 puntos porcentuales, mejora de la confiabilidad operacional (MTBF) en un 40 %, reducción del tiempo medio de reparación (MTTR) en un 22 % y una disminución de paros no planificados del 50 %. Se identificaron cuatro factores críticos de éxito: liderazgo ejecutivo comprometido, alineamiento estratégico explícito, sistemas de información integrados y gestión del cambio participativa. Se concluye que la gestión de activos bajo el estándar ISO 55000 constituye una arquitectura de resiliencia estratégica, viable para fortalecer la soberanía operacional de infraestructuras críticas en Latinoamérica, generando reducciones de costos operativos de entre el 15 % y 20 % en contextos de volatilidad macroeconómica.
