Treatment System for the Optimization of Wastewater in Sanitary Systems and Green Areas of the UNAMBA
Main Article Content
Abstract
Water scarcity is a critical global challenge affecting millions of people, many of whom have only limited access to drinking water during certain times of the day, while others lack this essential resource altogether. This problem is exacerbated in public entities with a high influx of people, where the consumption of drinking water in toilets reaches considerably high levels. In the facilities of Universidad Nacional Micaela Bastidas de Apurímac, total water consumption is estimated at 763,469.66 liters per month. In particular, the general classrooms pavilion, which houses 540 students of the Professional Academic School of Civil Engineering, has a consumption of 117,792.46 liters per month, representing a key area for the optimization of water resources. In response to this problem, a wastewater treatment system is proposed for reuse and optimization of potable water consumption in the sanitary systems and green areas of the university campus.
