Participatory management practices and organizational climate: a correlational study in a provincial municipality
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article determined the relationship between participatory management and organizational climate in a provincial municipality in Apurímac. The study employed a quantitative approach and a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive-correlational design. The study population consisted of 269 public servants, with a sample of 159 workers. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire, and Spearman's Rho coefficient was used to establish the relationship between the variables. The findings revealed a positive and statistically significant association between participatory management and the dimensions of organizational climate—specifically interpersonal relationships (0.845), leadership (0.963), rewards (0.925), and responsibility (0.932)—while the overall relationship coefficient was 0.892. It is concluded that a greater presence of participatory management practices is closely linked to a better organizational climate, particularly regarding the association with leadership, responsibility, rewards, and interpersonal relationships.
