Abstract
The present research work has been carried out with the objective of determining the technological characteristics of the wool of Creole sheep (Ovis aries) in some communities of the Lambrama district to optimize their productivity in the province of Abancay de la Apurimac region. The population was 192 animals, 68 2D sheep (34 males and 34 females), 68 4D sheep (34 males and 34 females) and 56 6D sheep (28 males and 28 females). We have worked with the OFDA 2000 team. For the mean diameter of the wool and the coefficient of variability, a significant difference was found for sex, the female had better fineness than the male and body regions, but not for the group ageriver and community. Likewise, the comfort factor was found to be significant for sex, age group, body regions and community, where the male had less comfort compared to the female, for the age group the animals with two teeth had greater comfort compared to the animals with six teeth. Likewise, for the itch factor, the male had more itching compared to the females, for the body region where the body region of the belly was found to be more itchy. On the other hand, for yarn fineness, it did not have a varied behavior for sex, age, body region and community. as age advances, the diameter of the wool thickens, so age influences the fineness of the fleece, with respect to the body regions of the fleece sampling, a better fineness of the wool was found in the VC and the best factor of comfort in animals with two teeth and females with values of 82.80 ± 5.80 and 81.37 ± 7.11 % respectively. which the central fleece is the area
indicated for the sampling of the animals, on the other hand the highest itching factor has been found in the region of the belly with 21.30±9.81%, finally for the Cruzpata community it has the best fineness and factor of comfort and less itching factor compared to the other community.
