Relationship between the use of computer technology and teaching methods in a Public University

Abstract
It is an investigation with participation of students of a public university. The fundamental objective of the research is to see the relationship between the frequent use of technological means with teaching methodologies. To measure the use of new technologies, computer science, multimedia, and telecommunications were considered. Among the teaching methods applied by teachers of a public university; it has been considered to know: by project, discussion and demonstration. The study concluded that there is a significant relationship between the use of new technologies and teaching methodologies; with a "sig" value. 0.013; therefore, it is affirmed at a 95% confidence level, the relationship is significant between both variables. This based on the Chi-square statistical test. Responding to the general objective raised in the study. It also proposes ways and strategies for teaching with computer technology from research.
